March is four days old and it's already been nuts. The big news is that I finished the Downton Abbey project, a six-chapter edited ebook that should be available this spring–I'll let you know more when I know more! Next weekend I have the Eastern Economic Association meetings in Boston, and work at the college remains as insane as ever (if not more so).

Here's what else I've been up to since Valentine's Day:

• I issued a call for abstracts for a new edited volume on law and social economics, to be included in my Perspectives from Social Economics series at Palgrave Macmillan.
• Two posts at Psychology Today: Are You Single and Self-Loathing? Maybe You Think Too Much (Februay 26) and Is It Selfish to Want Somebody to Appreciate You? (March 4).
• Two substantive posts–and one lighthearted one–at Economics and Ethics: On Barry Schwartz's "The Danger of Too Much Efficiency" in The New York Times (February 17, 2012), Parents as Vigilantes… for Parenting? (February 27), and Even kids know that numbers aren't always the most important thing (February 29).
• A couple new posts at The Comics Professor: You mean DC's new Earth 2 is going to be darker than the New 52 Earth? (February 27) and Torture Comics: The New Avengers Cross the Line (March 4).
• At The Good Men Project, one new piece, Why I Read Superhero Comics (February 21), written for the Men and Heroism section, and one piece reprinted from Psychology Today, Is Being "Half a Partner" to Somebody Enough? (February 28), for the section on Polyamory and Fidelity (for which they also highlighted my earlier piece, Cheating: Who Draws the Line?).

Finally, there are three samples from The Avengers and Philosophy: Earth's Mightiest Thinkers available at Wiley's site for the book: the table of contents, the index (in case you're curious who's included in the book–I'm happy to say most everybody!), and best of all, the first chapter, "Superhuman Ethics Class with the Avengers Prime," written by yours truly.
